About this guide

GreatSphinxOfGiza.org is an independent guide to visiting the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza, and to the tours that go there from Cairo. We are not the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, not a ticket office, not a tour operator and not Viator, and the site name describes the monument we write about rather than a business. Official tickets are sold at the gate and on the Ministry's portal, egymonuments.com.

Facts here are checked against the Ministry's own pages, the operators' listings on Viator (including recent traveller reviews) and published news. Ticket prices, opening rules and which pyramid is open inside all change; when a listing or the ticket office and this page disagree, the listing at checkout and the ticket office win.
