Let's Explore Egypt · Giza plateau

Pyramids, a camel and lunch, if you book the VIP

A guide and driver take you round the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx, and the all-inclusive option adds the plateau ticket, a 30-minute camel ride and lunch. Pick it for the VIP bundle at a low price, and only after reading the private-tour warnings below.

Private Giza Tour with Camel, Lunch and Interior

About this experience

The title says "All inclusive", but the $14 from-price is "Private Car and Guide only". On that option you pay the plateau ticket, 700 EGP (about $13), yourself. The "All inclusive" option adds the plateau and Sphinx entry, a 30-minute camel ride, lunch at a restaurant and the entry fee to "the third pyramid". A middle option called "Great Option" sits between them; check on the booking page what it adds for your date. The Great Pyramid interior, 1,500 EGP (about $27), is not in any of them, which surprised more than one reviewer.

The third-pyramid entry has a problem: Menkaure has been closed for maintenance since 11 September 2026. Khafre reopened that day for about 200 to 300 EGP. Ask Let's Explore Egypt on WhatsApp which interior they will use before you pay for the VIP option.

Now the warnings. Between late December 2025 and January 2026, five reviewers wrote that their private tour was switched to a shared van at the last minute, sometimes the night before, with pickups that added two hours. Others report a guide who stayed for two to three hours and then left them to walk alone, a camel ride shorter than 30 minutes, and lunch as late as 4:30 p.m. after shop stops. Plenty of 2026 guests had a great day, and the average is still 4.7 from 3,488 reviews. Book it with your eyes open, and get the private format confirmed in writing.

He was knowledgable about the pyramids and adapted the day for the things we wanted. He also rearranged the day to try and have the shortest lines possible.

If you are Claustrophobic save your money and pass up going inside the pyramids! You must also be physically fit to go inside. There is a lot of bending, crouching and even some crawling with inclines and declines.

Tips before you book

  • Get "private, only our group" confirmed on WhatsApp the day before. If they announce a shared van, ask Viator to rebook or refund.

  • Agree the camel ride length at the start. Reviewers counted 10 to 15 minutes against the 30 promised.
  • Bring a card for the Great Pyramid ticket. It is never included here.
  • Read our camel ride guide for fair prices and the tricks handlers use.

Frequently asked questions

Is the $14 Giza tour all inclusive?

No. $14 is the "Private Car and Guide only" option. Entry, the camel ride, lunch and the third-pyramid fee come only with the "All inclusive" (VIP) option. The Great Pyramid interior (1,500 EGP) is extra on all options.

Will my private tour really be private?

The listing says only your group takes part. Five reviewers between December 2025 and January 2026 say it was switched to shared at the last minute. Confirm in writing the day before and keep the messages.

Which pyramid do you enter now that Menkaure is closed?

Menkaure has been closed since 11 September 2026. Ask the company whether the VIP option now covers Khafre, which reopened the same day for about 200 to 300 EGP.

How long is the camel ride?

The listing says 30 minutes on the VIP option. Some reviewers report 10 to 15 minutes, so agree the length and route with the handler before you start.
