Memphis Tours · Giza plateau and the GEM
Memphis Tours takes you to the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx in the morning and the Grand Egyptian Museum in the afternoon, with a private Egyptologist, lunch and the entry fees already paid. Pick it if you want the two great sights of Giza with nothing left to buy at the gate.

Memphis Tours is one of the biggest names in Egyptian travel, and this listing has 6,180 reviews at 4.9. The day is simple: about two hours on the Giza plateau, half an hour at the Sphinx, lunch, then two hours in the Grand Egyptian Museum, where the complete Tutankhamun collection and Khufu's solar boat now live.
Here the price does include the tickets. The $185 covers the plateau entry (700 EGP) and the GEM ticket (1,830 EGP from 1 November 2026), about 2,530 EGP or $46 of tickets, plus lunch, the Egyptologist, the car and hotel pickup. The exclusions are clear: tips and the inside of the pyramids. The Great Pyramid costs 1,500 EGP (about $27) if you want it. The listing also excludes the "Mummies room"; ask what it means for the GEM on your date.
Many older reviews predate the GEM, from the years when this tour went to the old Egyptian Museum in Tahrir; the recent ones describe the new museum. The complaints are familiar: an unplanned papyrus shop and guides who "encouraged" a paid camel ride, which one 2025 couple put at €130. If you want neither, say so at pickup. Our ticket guide shows what the same day costs on your own.

★★★★★Mr Sam guided us thru the Pyramids, the magic Sphynx and the huge & unforgettable Grand Museum. [...] he was clever enough to keep us away from dubious passers-by and sellers, his suggestions towards souvenirs have hit the nail on the head.
★★★★★Transport was very comfortable and they were flexible to my family needs (stopping for snacks and drinks). Car was clean, very comfortable, and they provided cold water throughout the day.
★★★★★The guide was very attentive throughout the entire tour and his explanations were very clear and super interesting.
★★★★★Before the museum we had a lovely lunch at a quiet restaurant that made fresh and delicious dishes. This is a child friendly tour - I had my two small kids with me aged 5 & 8 years old, who had a blast.
